What changed

This watch newly captured a reusable launchpad primitive in which tokenized stocks can be selected as standard pair assets rather than appearing only in one-off LP pairs. At observation time the official Base mainnet interface showed 9 launches and examples using NVDAc, AAPLc, METAc, GOOGLc, TSLAc, SNDKc, and SPCXc.

Why it matters

Tokenized-stock usage on Base is expanding beyond holding, vault strategies, and conventional LPs into the quote/liquidity leg for third-party token launches. The economic source is swap fees rather than stock dividends or carry. The advertised 70% figure is the creator-side fee share, not a passive LP APY.

Evidence

  • BasedPair — The official interface states 'One token. Up to five markets.' and supports markets against Coinbase stocks, ETH, and wrapped assets. It displays a 1.00% LP swap fee, a 70% creator share, permanent LP custody, and 9 live Base mainnet launches with examples using NVDAc, AAPLc, METAc, GOOGLc, TSLAc, SNDKc, and SPCXc. 2026-09-14T17:52:00+09:00
  • GeckoTerminal — BasedPair's own BPAIR/ETH market is operating as a 1% fee pool on Uniswap V4 on Base. GeckoTerminal showed roughly $14.9K of liquidity and $6.3K of 24-hour volume when retrieved. These figures confirm an active BasedPair V4 market but are not TVL figures for the individual tokenized-stock markets. 2026-09-14T17:52:00+09:00

Limitations

Reliable market-level TVL, passive LP APY, and additional token incentives were not independently available for the individual tokenized-stock paired markets in this observation. Opening-liquidity figures shown by the launchpad are initial launch configuration values, not current TVL. The 70% creator share is fee routing to creators, not LP depositor APY. Small markets face fragmented liquidity, manipulation risk, IL/LVR, capital immobility from permanent LP design, smart-contract risk, and tokenized-stock issuer, custody, redemption, and eligibility constraints.
